Gotham Appliances is a local dealer + installer. We’re not a warehouse in Ohio that ships you a box. We’re the people who show up at your door, mount the AC to code, and take the old one away.

40 AC models across 5 brands. Window, through-the-wall, and portable. Live pricing — no “call for our best price” runaround.
- 2Install to code.
Two-person lift, manufacturer-rated bracket, weatherproofed, power-tested. NYC bracket requirements are real and we follow them on every install.
- 3Haul the old one away.
Refrigerant-bearing units have to go through proper recycling. We use a licensed handler. You don’t have to think about it.
NYC, Long Island + lower Westchester. Anywhere else, we say no.
Five boroughs, the two LI counties, and Westchester up to White Plains — that’s it. We’d rather decline an order than ship you a box you have to install yourself.
Common questions
- Do you actually install, or do you sub it out?
- We install. Every install is done by our own crew, in our truck. We don't list installation as a 'service' and then dispatch a stranger.
- How fast can you get an install scheduled?
- Most installs land within the week. We email you within one business day of your order to lock in a date.
- Do you do brackets above the second floor?
- Yes — we use a manufacturer-rated bracket on every install above the ground floor, full stop. See our bracket article for why this isn't negotiable.
- Do you serve Westchester or New Jersey?
- We cover the NYC five boroughs, Long Island, and lower Westchester up to White Plains (Yonkers, Mount Vernon, New Rochelle, Scarsdale, White Plains…). Outside that, checkout will tell you before you pay.
- Property manager with 30 units?
- Use the bulk quote form. One contact, one PO, one scheduling pass. We work with property managers, agencies, and HEAP-program installers.
- What happens to my old AC?
- If you picked the Install & Haul-Away tier, it leaves with us. Refrigerant-bearing units are recycled through a licensed handler.
