Terms of Service

Gotham Appliances sells, delivers, and installs air conditioners in New York City and on Long Island. By placing an order on this site you agree to these terms.

All prices are in U.S. dollars. Your order total includes the unit price, any installation and haul-away services you select, a service charge, and applicable New York sales tax — all shown before you pay. We work hard to keep pricing and product information accurate, but if we discover a material error in price or availability after you order, we’ll contact you to confirm or cancel with a full refund. An order is accepted when we confirm it, not when it is placed.

We deliver and install in the five boroughs of New York City, in Nassau and Suffolk counties, and in lower Westchester County up to and including White Plains. Your ZIP code is checked at checkout — if we can’t serve your address, we’ll tell you before you pay.

We’ll contact you to schedule a delivery or installation window after your order is confirmed. For installations, an adult (18+) must be present, and the work area must be safely accessible. Window installations are performed with appropriate mounting hardware; through-the-wall installations require an existing, structurally sound wall sleeve unless otherwise arranged. If building management approval (e.g., co-op/condo rules) is required for your installation, obtaining it is your responsibility.

If we arrive for a scheduled visit and can’t perform the work for reasons outside our control (no access, no approval, unsafe conditions), a return-visit fee may apply.

You can cancel any order free of charge before it ships or before your scheduled service window. Contact us as soon as possible by phone for the fastest handling.

Products are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty stated on the product page. Our installation workmanship is guaranteed for 90 days — if an issue is caused by our installation, we’ll come back and make it right at no charge. The manufacturer’s warranty covers the equipment itself.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under New York law.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of New York.
