We’re proud to participate in the Home Energy Assistance Program

HEAP’s cooling assistance benefit can help eligible New York households get an air conditioner — supplied and installed by a participating vendor like us. We handle HEAP installs across NYC, Nassau, and Suffolk every summer.

How HEAP cooling assistance works

1

You apply with your county

Cooling assistance applications go through your local district — HRA in NYC, or the Department of Social Services in Nassau and Suffolk. Benefits typically open in late spring and run while funding lasts.

2

You're approved for a unit

Eligibility is generally based on income guidelines and a household member with a documented medical condition made worse by heat. Your district confirms the benefit and the approved amount.

3

We supply + install it

As a participating vendor, we deliver a program-eligible air conditioner, install it to code (bracket included where required), and bill the program directly. You don't pay out of pocket for the covered benefit.

Who may qualify

  • Your household meets the current HEAP income guidelines.
  • Someone in the home has a medical condition that’s aggravated by heat, documented by a medical provider.
  • You don’t already have a working air conditioner (or the one you have is 5+ years old, in many districts).
  • You live in New York State — we service the five boroughs, Nassau, Suffolk, and lower Westchester up to White Plains.

Program rules, benefit amounts, and opening dates change each season and vary by district. Always confirm current details with your local HEAP office or otda.ny.gov/programs/heap.

Approved, or working on it?

If you’ve been approved for a HEAP cooling benefit — or you’re a case worker or agency coordinating installs — call us and we’ll take it from there. We handle the paperwork with the district, schedule the install, and haul away the old unit.

HEAP & agency contracts welcome — one contact, one PO, batch scheduling for multiple households.
